In figures just released from the Association of American Publishers, eBook sales were up 146.9% in the U.S. generating $74 million is sales dollars. Unfortunately, they also show a drastic drop in print sales with adult hardcover and adult mass paperbacks dropping the worst at over a 30% decrease.
The only area in print publishing that seems immune from slumping sales are YA books, university press publications, and religion titles which saw an increase of between “4 and 20%”.
