Literacy organization First Book and book publisher Random House Children’s Books partnered this week to bring books to underprivileged children. A new book was donated by Random House for each person that subscribed to their social media sites via Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr.
Brian Minter of First Book says, “we’ve added over 26,000 new followers,” with our efforts this week.
While this program only lasted for a week, you can still make a difference. First Books has already donated nearly 85 million books with the help of sponsors and donors. They are seeking corporate sponsors, small business sponsors and individuals who’d like to help.
