Authors on Holiday – Shiloh Walker

A collection of holiday memories make up author Shiloh Walker’s favorite ornaments. Welcome, Shiloh!

Well, this isn’t the favorite, per se… it’s more along the lines of my favorite theme.  Whenever my family goes on a trip, we tend to pick up a Christmas ornament.  My husband is the one who started it and he is usually the one who finds the ornament and it’s just become habit.

We do ornaments, magnets…and I buy ghost stories.  Those are the souvenirs. Looking at our tree, as we decorate over the years, it’s like a walk down memory lane, and in more ways than one.  We can talk about the trips we’ve been, and we can remind the kids about places we went when they were younger, or places they haven’t been to yet, where we’d like to go with them.

So while I’m not entirely sure I have a favorite ornament, I definitely have a favorite theme.  It’s all the ornaments we’ve collected over the years as a family on all the trips we’ve taken, whether it’s just down to Gatlinburg, or across the country to Albuquerque and Phoenix.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

About Shiloh:
I was born in Kentucky and have been reading avidly since I was six. Writing became more my focus in middle school-I had a very boring teacher and voices in my head. I am the mom to three adorable children who are growing way too fast and my husband who doesn’t see enough of me.

She is also the bestselling author of dozens of books, including her latest, The Reunited. You can learn more about Shiloh by clicking here, which will take you to her website. Or you can follow this link to purchase her latest book The Reunited.
