Exchange: Present for a Book

Did you ever receive one of those presents? A gift you have no use for, or no idea why you received it? Bastei Lubbe, a German publisher and Hugendubel – a book retailer, have partnered to create the perfect way to rid yourself of that gift and get a book in return.

Anyone can ‘dump’ a present into their vending machine and by simply pushing a button, exchange it for a book. Their vending machine will be placed at a busy shopping mall in Munich from Dec. 28 – Dec. 30. The books loaded into the machine are by several bestselling German authors.

All unwanted presents will be donated to local charities.
