Barbara Vey Reader Appreciation Weekend

veyBarbara Vey Reader Appreciation Weekend

It’s just a few weeks until one of the premier reader events begins. April 29th – May 1st marks the 5th year Barbara Vey has hosted the reader focused event and while author tables sold out in hours, there are still lots of FREE events for readers.

Friday afternoon from 1-2:30 p.m. will kick off with a reader party sponsored by Winnie Griggs, Sharon Sala, Lenora Worth, Holly Jacobs and Liz Talley. This is a free event with prizes, raffles, and dozens of authors. It will be held in the Clarion Hotel’s Mitchell Room.

Later Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.  Readers are invited to a free Q&A with attending authors.  Each author will be introduced and given one question to answer. Following the Q&A, there will be a Meet and Greet with the readers. Two cash bars will be set up and appetizers served.

On Saturday, readers will be treated to a free booksigning open to the public from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sixty authors of every genre, romance, mystery, thriller, women’s fiction, and more will be signing books. Barnes & Noble Booksellers will be on site for purchases, and you can buy books direct from many participating authors.

Stick around Saturday night for the Author Party for Readers at 7:00 P.M.  Authors Damon Suede and Eloisa James will be organizing authors for another terrific opportunity to connect with readers. This is another free event for readers.
