Reader’s Entertainment caught up with author Joshua Melville to talk to him about his current journey writing the memoir of Sam Melville, his father, and of himself growing up with a radical, political activist.  American Timebomb tells the story within the story and reveals important historical facts that others shy away from or romanticize.  But this memoir is an even-handed telling of the facts while also revealing information the government would rather not have shared and of course including Joshua’s personal, emotional telling of his story and the story of his father who was assassinated during the Attica uprising.

During the podcast, Joshua talks about his father’s significance to history in the 1960’s, how the FBI had provocateur programs which they still have today and what that means.  Find out what it was like to be the child of a radical and what the government did to the families.

Joshua gives insight to history, the emotional toll of political activism and how it all relates back to issues of today.
