CrimeFest 2018 Announces Line-Up

CrimeFest in Bristol, England will be held May 18-21, and features an impressive list of attending authors. Those scheduled to speak at next year’s event include; Anthony Horowitz, Ann Cleeves and Peter Lovesey.

CrimeFest celebrates crime fiction, and hosts bestselling authors, publishers, agents and fans of the genre. The event features book panels, author talks and interviews with leaders in the publishing field.

This year’s winner of the Crime Writer’s Association Diamond Dagger Award for excellence in crime writing is Anne Cleves, and she will be featured in an interview with Jake Kerridge. Cover artist Tom Adams, famous for his Agatha Christie covers will be attending, and discussing his work. He will also be discussing his latest book – co-authored with John Curran — Uncovered: the Art of Agatha Christie and Beyond.

Icelandic female crime authors will be highlighted at this year’s event. The women have been making quite an impact on the genre, and authors Jónína Leósdóttir, Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, Sólveig Pálsdóttir and Lilja Sigurðardóttir will be interviewed as part of a panel discussion.

As well as celebrating the contribution Icelandic authors have made to the genre, we’ve worked closely with the Norwegian Embassy and the Goethe Institute to bring some of the most exciting Nordic and German novelists in the genre to the UK,” said CrimeFest host and co-founder Adrian Muller.
