Trisha Yearwood announced as featured speaker at ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition (Virtual)

The American Library Association today announced that Grammy award-winning country singer, TV host, chef, and entrepreneur Trisha Yearwood has been added to the featured speakers roster at the virtual 2021 ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition, June 23-29. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Registration for the conference is now open.

Yearwood will discuss her new cookbook, “Trisha’s Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family,” available September 2021. The book is a collection of 125 comfort food recipes peppered with unforgettable family stories and photos. The recipes include dishes that her beloved mother used to make, plus new recipes like Pasta Pizza Snack Mix and Garth’s Teriyaki Bowl.

The Annual Conference & Exhibition attendees will have access to educational sessions in the areas of Library Services, EDI, Leadership, Teaching & Learning, Technology, Library Workplace, and more. The News You Can Use series; interactive Discussion Groups; and President and Chair Programs are also available.

The conference will launch on Wednesday, June 23 with The Library Marketplace, showcasing more than 250 exhibitors, 11 presentation stages that will highlight notable and genre-specific keynotes, sessions on new book titles, knowledgeable library experts, innovative resources, networking opportunities, giveaways, and more. Additional Library Marketplace activities and highlights will be announced soon.

Registrants can log in to the Program Scheduler and “favorite” sessions, adding them to their conference calendar. The Scheduler should be regularly checked, as it is consistently updated with new sessions and activities.
