BOOK REVIEW These Precious Days: Essays by Ann Patchett

A Connection creates through life experiences

I was gripped from the introduction. Ann Patchett revealed she had great anxiety about death when writing her books…not that her life would end but that all these lives she created in characters wouldn’t have their story told if she died, she was responsible for them. When the pandemic began she was afraid to start a new book for fear it would not be finished, so she turned to essays some she reworked some she penned fresh about her life. Things that already happened and their affects on her.
By sharing her personal life experiences and reflections in such an intimate way, they connected personally to me, they translate into something universal for each reader!
