Barnes & Noble is excited to announce that they will be hosting a first-ever BookTok Festival from their flagship store in Union Square, NY on Saturday, February 4. The debut event will host a series of authors who have grown their readership through bookseller support and reader engagement on TikTok, giving many book lovers an opportunity to connect with some of their favorite authors off-screen at an in-person event.

The doors will open at 10 AM ET for a BookTok Con where attendees will be able to stop by tables run by a variety of publishers–including Disney, Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Sourcebooks and Union Square & Co.–offering highly coveted advanced reading copies and swag! The panel discussions will then kick off at 2 PM starting with “That Thing Called Love,” a can’t miss conversation for Romance readers, followed by “Living in a Fantasy World” featuring reader favorites from the highly popular genre.

“That Thing Called Love” will begin at 2 PM ET with an hour long discussion moderated by Ryan La Sala, bestselling and award-winning author of Be Dazzled. Ryan will be delving into the current reign of romance, the role BookTok has played and why a crazy good love story never goes out of style with New York Times bestselling author of It Happened One Summer, Tessa Bailey; bestselling author of the Twisted series, Anna Huang; RITA award winning author of Before I Let Go, Kennedy Ryan; and TikTok sensation debut author of A Broken Blade, Melissa Blair. After the panel discussion the authors will be available for a book signing!

“Living in a Fantasy World” will then start at 6 PM ET. Tracy Deonn will moderate the hour-long discussion around the creation of fantasy worlds as well as development of characters and tension with themes of power and betrayal –all with a sprinkle of magic! Tracy will be in conversation with New York Times bestselling author of Under the Whispering Door, TJ Klune; bestselling author of the BookTok-viral sensation The Atlas Six, Olivie Blake; bestselling author of the Wilderwood duology (For the Wolf and For the Throne), Hannah Whitten; and bestselling author of Barnes & Noble’s Speculative Fiction Book Award Winner Babel, R.F.
