In a recent survey conducted by Bowker, a company that provides services to libraries, eBooks are beginning to overtake print books at the preferred way to read.
The survey ask 6000 participants questions about their reading habits. Here’s what they found:
In 2012:
•60% of book buyers were female
•29% of ebooks purchased were bought by under 30s
•11% of ebooks bought were Romance
•35% of all Romance books bought were in ebook format
•Ebooks represented just 15% of children’s but 23% of YA books bought
