You can see it for yourself, at least until they are forced to take to down. PublishAmerica.Net is promising to get your manuscript to J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. PA says this on their website-

“We will ask the world’s very bestselling author to look at all of your books next week.
We will bring your book to the attention of Harry Potter’s author next week while our delegation is in her hometown, and ask her to read it and to tell us and you what she thinks. Tell her what you think: in the Ordering Instructions box write your own note for JK Rowling, max. 50-100 words. We will include your note in our presentation for her!”
They are referring to the Edinburgh International Book Festival, but EIBF posted to Twitter-
“We have no relationship with @publishamerica. We have asked them to cease and desist making promises involving us.”
The Twittersphere has started a haghtag of #PublishAmericaScam that you can follow there. According to @JasonPinter’s tweet-
News: I received an email back from J.K Rowling’s manager. He is alerting her legal/literary representation to #PublishAmericascam.
A phone call to Publish America revealed that their phone mailbox is full. An email has been sent and any replies will be added to this article upon receipt.
Nothing regarding the alleged scam has been mentioned in Publish America’s Facebook or official website denying allegations or presenting further proof of their ability to get material to the Harry Potter author. The publisher has been plagued by bad press over the years but continues to thrive. How the J.K. Rowling issue is finally resolved may be the biggest media moment for the publisher ever.
