Scams, Shams and Snark Marketing Panel Spearheaded by COS CEO

During the annual RT Booklover’s Convention which was held in Los Angeles last week COS Productions CEO, Sheila Clover English sat on a very important panel with some of today’s top industry professionals.

The topic was how not to get scammed when doing online marketing and promotions. Each panelist discussed what they felt was the best way to find and hire professionals with integrity and how to get the most for your dollar.

Included in the panel was Joan Schulhafer of Joan Schulhafer Publishing & Media Consulting.

Penny Sansevieri of Author Marketing Experts.

Nancy Berland of Nancy Berland Public Relations, Inc.

Barbara Vey of Publisher’s Weekly blog Beyond Her Book.

 


The room was full despite being scheduled opposite Dean Koontz and several thoughtful questions came in from the audience.

Topics ranged from ghost blogging (pro or con), reference checking and establishing goals prior to hiring a professional.

Although the group had an outline for the talk which we will make available here, it was flexible and really catered to those in attendance.  If you have questions for any of the panels members you can leave comments here.
