Finally, Google eBooks joins the eReader world with their Story HD. The Story HD is manufactured in conjunction with iriver, a Korean electronics firm. It’s debut was July 17th and it will be sold only at Target stores and retails for $140.

While the eReader looks very much like Amazon’s Kindle, Story HD offers a 6-inch screen which their product information page states has “63% more pixels” then their competition. The Story HD has expandable memory, a faster processor (it can turn pages quicker) and can last 4 – 6 weeks on a single charge.

The Google Story HD will allow users to access the thousands of titles available at Google eBooks, including hundreds of free and classic literature titles all via Wi-Fi.
