Bestselling author Dan Brown – Da Vinci Code, will be sending his Harvard code-breaker character Robert Langdon on another adventure. His new novel, Inferno, scheduled to be released in May will focus on The Divine Comedy, a 14th century work by Dante.
A unique marketing tactic where readers could visit the authors website and ‘work-out’ a mosaic to reveal the novel’s title, was so enthusiastically received that it nearly crashed the servers.
The author said in a statement: “Although I studied Dante’s Inferno in high school, it wasn’t until recently, while researching in Florence, that I came to appreciate the enduring influence of Dante’s work on the modern world. With this new novel, I am excited to take readers deep into this mysterious realm…a landscape of codes, symbols, and more than a few secret passageways.”
