With the selection of literary classic The Great Gatsby, one might think Stephen Colbert is starting a traditional book club. Fans of the comedian, however would know better. In what Colbert describes as an “Oprah rip-off”, he is even playing on Oprah’s logo calling his book club, “cOlbert’s Book Club” with that odd capital “O” almost as a tribute to the talk show icon.
The F. Scott Fitzgerald classic movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby has just been released, and Colbert says he has actually read the book so he can discuss it. Take a look at his video promoting the book club:
