Interactive eBooks Let you ‘Feel’ the Story

Many reader’s get into their books, they empathize with the characters. A good book can make you laugh, cry or keep the lights on at night. Now, the Media Lab at MIT has taken ebooks to an entirely new level. They’ve developed technology that allows the reader to ‘feel’ “the sensations that the characters are feeling.”

The book has senors that transmit ‘feeling’ via a vest that a reader wears. Called Sensory Fiction, the sensors change and adapt to the story and the reader. Here’s a video from MIT:
