Harry Potter Books to be in Libraries

OverDrive, the digital book distributor for libraries, just announced they are in a partnership with author J.K. Rowling and Pottermore to distribute the Harry Potter books to libraries. The entire seven book series will be available to libraries in digital format that will be downloadable on nearly every electronic reading device. They are also making available the series as an audio download in MP3 format.

The series will be released in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish will additional languages coming soon.

In a statement from Pottermore CEO Charlie Redmayne: “We are keen to support public and school libraries, and OverDrive, as one of the leading suppliers in this market, provides us with a global network that helps us achieve this, as well as encouraging the discovery of these amazing books across the world.”

The Harry Potter digital series should be available in libraries before the end of the year.
