Robert Sciglimpaglia was also the topic of well earned news recently for his leading role within the short film Home/Sick which came in number ten within the Seekflik online film competition as well as for his Super Bowl commercial. It was a once in a lifetime role in which Robert scored a major touchdown playing the dad within Chevy’s hilarious Happy Grad Super Bowl commercial. The commercial was a tremendous success and originally previewed during the NFC Championship Game, and is the creation of 26-year-old Long Island film maker Zachary Borst. Out of 200 worldwide commercial submissions  “The Happy Grad” was chosen as the winner of the Chevrolet Route 66 video submission contest. The lively and hilarious piece is currently airing nationwide after airing during the 46th Super Bowl between the Giants and Patriots. Chevy chose the commercial as it contained all the important elements the company was looking for: light-heartedness and a commitment to the Chevrolet name. In June of 2011, Robert Sciglimpaglia did an off-Broadway play with Jamie Kehoane, who recommended him for the slot of the father and now plays his wife in the new popular ad.
