Anthony Awards for 2012

2012 marks the 43rd Annual Bouchercon Convention and this year it was held in Cleveland, Ohio on October 6th, 2012. The Bouchercon Convention celebrates the mystery writing genre with authors, readers, guest speakers and is topped off by the presentation of the Anthony Awards. There official definition is: “The World Mystery Convention is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization which holds an annual convention in honor of Anthony Boucher, the distinguished mystery fiction critic, editor and author. It is the world’s premier event bringing together all parts of the mystery and crime fiction community, and is commonly referred to as Bouchercon. [bough’·chur·con]”

If you like mysteries, thrillers, and crime fiction, this is the conference to attend.

The Anthony Award is named for Anthony Boucher, a book reviewer and early champion of the mystery genre. It is presented yearly to the mystery writing in several categories. This year’s winners are:

BEST NOVEL
