There is a fun and unique ‘book peddler’ on the loose in Toronto. A lovely cargo bicycle – a No. 33 Pashley to be exact has been converted into a mobile bookstore called the Book Pedlar.
Created by the former owner of London bookstore Clerkenwell Tales, and the (NDC)National Design Collective of Canada, it has been trolling the streets since summer.
According to the NDC; “Our objectives were simple: to design something friendly and appealing that would attract people, allow customers to browse and explore content, as well as facilitate the selection and purchase portion of the retail cycle.”
Book buyers can walk up to the book peddler browse the selections and can purchase with cash or credit.
