What’s Up With Rita Herron?

Writing the last two years has been a whirlwind of different exciting projects. THE DEMONBORN (Insatiable Desire, Dark Hunger, and Forbidden Passion), my sexy paranormal suspense trilogy from Grand Central Publishing, is complete and on the shelves!  It’s dark, sexy, edgy, gritty and the heroes are to die for half-human, half demon alpha males torn between a world of good and evil in which they must fight their own father to win.

And for the more tame, there are always my Intrigues. Still, they are chalked full of romance and suspense!

In January, I kicked off a series called Cowboys Royale with BRANDISHING A  CROWN. Prince Stefan, the hero of the story, is a stud with a military background who comes to Colorado to trade secrets with the U.S. in order to save his small foreign nation. But an attack on him and his friends leads Stefan to work with plain Jane Cameron, a forensic expert who is unimpressed by his princely charm. But as the mystery heats up, danger becomes personal, sparks begin to fly, and not only are they in danger of losing their lives, but their hearts are on the line as well!

In June and July, look for two more installments in my Guardian Angel Investigations series where sexy detectives focus on missing children cases. In THE MISSING TWIN (June), the dark and mysterious Native American Caleb Walker is drawn in by a five-year-old girl who claims she has psychic connections to her missing twin sister, a sister who supposedly died at birth. Danger, intrigue, and sexual tension explode in this emotional drama.

But even as they solve the case of the missing twin, they realize that the case is connected to something much bigger.

In HER STOLEN SON (July), weapons expert Colt Mason picks up the thread when a local woman is arrested for murder and her son is kidnapped. Colt is not a family man, but he suddenly yearns to be a hero to this single mother. Together they dodge danger as they chase down clues to find her son before they lose him forever.

I’m also excited to be working on a cowboy trilogy for 2012! Why cowboys?

When I think of sexy macho heroes, I think about country. When I think about country, I think about country music. When I think about country music I can hear Willie Nelson’s throaty voice crooning Mama, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.

So when I think about sexy macho heroes, I think about cowboys!

And this series promises to introduce you to several cowboys that will make you want to SAVE A HORSE AND RIDE A COWBOY!
