DC Comics are off the Shelves at B&N

All DC graphic novels are being removed from Barnes & Nobles store shelves. This comes in response to a deal between DC Entertainment and Amazon – giving Amazon exclusive rights to sell eBook editions of the graphic novels for their recently released Fire Tablet.

In a statement from Jaime Carey, B&N’s Chief Merchant: “Regardless of the publisher, we will not stock physical books in our stores if we are not offered the available digital format. To sell and promote the physical book in our store showrooms and not have the ebook available for sale would undermine our promise to Barnes & Noble customers to make available any book, anywhere, anytime.”
