Opening today – October 12th – is book publisher Simon & Schuster’s new book club site being launched on Facebook. Called Something to Read About, the first book being discussed is A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard. Readers are invited to join the book club discussion from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.

The book club will be featuring favorite books, visits with favorite authors, videos, photos, and a “book-specific discussion forum” for readers.

October’s Book of the Month is Alice Hoffman’s The Dovekeepers. For November the selection is Jodi Picoult’s Sing you Home, and for December Kathleen Grissom’s The Kitchen House.

The Facebook book club site will also be sharing book excerpts.
