Kirkus Reviews, known as “the world’s toughest book critics,” has just announced the launch of an editing division — Kirkus Editorials. The new service is aimed at self-published and unpublished authors who need editing, proofreading, and copyediting of their writing work. This service follows their recent launches of Kirkus Marketing (book promo services) and Kirkus Indie (reviews of Indie books).

COO of Kirkus, Meg Kuehn spoke about Kirkus Editorials: “Offering book editing services is a natural extension of our brand. We’ve been notorious for our high editorial standards for decades, and our success working with independent authors in the Kirkus indie program paved the way for new author services that serve this fast-growing segment of the industry.”

They are also seeking editors for this new service. See details on their website.
