iBookstore Launches Graphic Novel format Category

iBookstore has just launched a Comics and Graphic Novel category in the iTunes store. Marvel Comics has 80 titles in the launch and is offering The New Avengers first issue for FREE.  The comics can be downloaded to iPhone, iPad, and iPods.  Disney, Random House, Abrams and Andres McMeel, W.W. Norton, Zip Comic, Top Shelf, Manga University and others are also featured. The new comic category is divided into a Graphic Novels and Manga sections.

The price point for most downloadable comics ranges from $5.99 to $24.99 . Marvel comics stated: “each week, more graphic novels will be added to the expanding Marvel iBookstore library.”
