Storia is a brand new eBook platform from children’s publisher Scholastic. It features “enriched eBooks” the will have the ability for users to look up words, complete puzzles, play games and allow parents to check the reading progress of their children.

In a press release from Scholastic: “(you can) use word games, story interactions, and animation to deeply draw your young reader in, further developing confidence and critical thinking skills.”

The books are catalog for age appropriate reading levels, and parents can set up an account for free at the Scholastic site that allows parental control over books choices, the ability to purchase books and create a cyber book shelf for storing your purchased eBooks.

Currently, Storia is available only for iPad and Windows. An Android version should be available later this year.
