Amazon just struck a deal with long time publisher, Avalon Books to acquire it’s backlist. The acquisition includes nearly 3000 titles from Thomas Bouregy which owns the Avalon Imprint. None of the backlisted titles have been published as eBooks until now.

Amazon under it’s digital imprints Amazon Publishing, Montlake Romance and Thomas Mercer Imprints will bring these titles to life in digital format and they will be available on Amazon’s website.

Publisher of Avalon, Ellen Bouregy Mickelsen, will stay on board “to support a smooth transition for authors and to help secure eBook amendments for some of the older Avalon titles whose digital rights are not owned by Avalon.”

Many well-known authors will be included in this acquisition, Holly Jacobs, C.H. Admirand, and Carolyn Brown.
