Building on the success of Love Inspired’s category romance lines, Harlequin’s inspirational romance imprint announces a new trade fiction program. Launching this spring, the program will feature longer-length stories across a variety of subgenres.

“Our trade fiction program is designed to give readers more of what they already love about Love Inspired, including relatable faith-based characters and entertaining plotlines grounded in life lessons,” said Tina James, Executive Editor of Love Inspired. “I’m excited for readers to experience the more complex stories and wider range of subgenres our trade fiction novels have to offer.”

The 2021 inaugural titles include:

A WISH FOR HOME by Jo Ann Brown (on sale March 30, 2021): This Amish women’s fiction novel is about a successful woman whose world is turned upside down after she discovers a shocking truth during her return to the community that shunned her parents. The Secrets of Bliss Valley series will continue with the release of A PROMISE OF FORGIVENESS on November 30, 2021.

RISING DANGER by Jerusha Agen (on sale May 25, 2021): This gripping suspense novel follows a K-9 handler and her four-legged partner as they race to discover the bomber planting explosives on dams in the Twin Cities.

THE WIDOWS OF CHAMPAGNE by Renee Ryan (on sale July 27, 2021): This captivating historical fiction novel follows three generations of women in Nazi-occupied France as they draw on their courage and wits to save their family’s vineyard during World War II.

THE GATHERING TABLE by USA TODAY bestselling author Kathryn Springer (on sale September 28, 2021): This engrossing women’s fiction novel explores the multigenerational friendships a chef makes after moving to a new town for a fresh start. There she discovers that life, like cooking, is better when you’re willing to take some risks, and that what’s on the table isn’t as important as the people gathered around it.

“The expansion into trade fiction gives us the opportunity to broaden Love Inspired’s program by delivering novels with deeper, more emotional character explorations and story lines that are multilayered. Readers will be able to enjoy these trade fiction novels in print, digital and audio formats,” said Dianne Moggy, Vice President of Editorial at Harlequin.
