ONE PERFECT GRAVE BY STACY GREEN
All the possible who dunnits and what-ifs grab you right from the start in Stacy Green’s second installment of her Nikki Hunt series. I appreciated how the chemistry between Nikki and secondary characters move the story along or put temporary roadblocks she needs to work through. How developed three-dimensional characters aid in discovering information in an entertaining way. And invests you emotionally in lives this story affects. It all keeps you involved and intrigued about the case and the personal lives of Nikki and others. I enjoyed how as Nikki learned more about other characters she discovered more about herself and helped in her personal growth, along with figuring out how to resolve the cases.
There’s one moment you’re thinking, yes, that’s the bad guy, then a page later more comes to light and you’re not so sure. There are several separate threads and you are kept guessing if and how they will all be connected. When that jaw dropping plot twist hits there is no putting the book down until all is revealed. The book wraps up nicely, I cheered a victim getting to deliver some Karma and others getting closure.
There are enough personal relationships still growing that have me excited to read the next book…along with the one unsolved serial killer case that’s been haunting Nikki Hunt for awhile! I recommend these suspense thrillers!
