The Hugo Awards celebrate the best books in the science fiction / fantasy genre. The awards were presented at the 74th World Science Fiction Convention, MidAmeriCon II.

Best Graphic Story: The Sandman: Overture written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by J.H. Williams III
Best Dramatic Presentation (Long Form): The Martian screenplay written by Drew Goddard with a movie directed by Ridley Scott
Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form): Jessica Jones: “AKA Smile” written byScott Reynolds, Melissa Rosenberg, and Jamie King with an episode directed by Michael Rymer
Best Editor (Long Form): Sheila E. Gilbert
Best Editor (Short Form): Ellen Datlow
Best Professional Artist: Abigail Larson
