The Slayer by Theresa Meyers: Book Review

The Slayer by Theresa Meyers

Cowboys, vampires and steampunk, oh my! I’ve wanted to try steampunk for some time and now I’m hooked! Theresa Meyers is a storyteller and her second book in the Legend Chronicle trilogy is a great example of how well this author can bring together seemingly unrelated genres into a story and make you long for more!

Winn Jackson is one of three brothers fated to and trained to destroy demon predators, but Winn is a lawman and only interested in keeping Bodie, California safe from outlaws.  But, when the hauntingly beautiful Alexandra Porter comes to town things change. Whether Winn wants them to or not.

Alexandra needs Winn to use his family legacy and help save her people. The catch? She, and her people, are vampires.

This book is adventurous and romantic. It’s steamy in all the right places. The Slayer, Book Two of the Legend Chronicles, is out April 1, 2012.
