The epublisher has just launched a line of classics that are rated NC-17. Claire Siemaszkiewicz, the company founder states: “I’ve often wondered whether the Bronte sisters, if they were alive today, would have gone down the erotic romance route. There’s a lot of underlying sexual tension in their stories.”
Their line of classics includes Jane Eyre, Sherlock Holmes and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The line has not been without it’s critics or it’s cheerleaders. However you feel about this turn of the literary license, it seems erotica in all it’s forms, past, present and future and re-written, is here to stay.
