Sydney, Australia – October 10, 2011

Author Suzan Battah announces the release of Mad About the Boy, a romantic comedy that will leave you rooting for love.

Julia Mendoza is driven by the success of her business. Since her husband passed away her business By Design is her number one priority. Experiencing such a tragic loss at such as young age, has left her disheartened and no longer believing in love and passion.

Julia is put in a most interesting position at the grocery store by an annoying ex-friend stalking her, she begs a complete stranger to be her pretend boyfriend without recognizing him. Their charade seems to work and it starts a string of events that will capture her heart.

The good-spirited and handsome “pretend boyfriend” is Christophe Augustine, heir to a chain of luxurious hotels. He is a man that plays hard, and works harder, but seeks approval and recognition above all else. In spite of his parent’s less than stellar history of love, he believes in family, passion and most of all happily-ever-after.

Their relationship is fun, but he wants more. His closeness and her growing love for him makes her feel guilty, as she has never felt more safe, secure and protected. She refuses to let her late husband go and move forward, confessing to Chris she won’t. Yet when they part ways and she sees him with someone else, her heart aches even more and she discovers the truth in her heart, she’s Mad About the Boy.

What’s a girl to do? Well, there’s no shame in donning army camo, sneaking around and spying on him with her loyal room-mate along for the ride. Love has no boundaries when soul-mates meet.
You will laugh, cry, and cheer with the smooth prose, and snarky feel good humor of Mad About the Boy.

Marvel Comics just announced the lay-off of 11 employees as part of their cost-cutting initiative. This comes behind the company leaving 5 editorial vacancies open for over a year, and not replacing their COO Jim Sokolowsi who was pinked slipped a few weeks ago.

While Marvel’s movies are doing great, their print comics sales are sagging. They announced they will also be cutting the Iron Man 2.0, All-Winners Squad, and Alpha Flight series. Cutting the Alpha-Flight Series is odd since it is one of Marvel’s bestselling comics and was recently developed into a series.

Let’s hope Marvel is able to withstand the current economy and a super-hero arrives to save the iconic publisher.

Shiloh Walker’s If You Hear Her

0

Shiloh Walker’s newest romantic thriller, If you Hear Her, will have you holding your breath as you turn each page!

The latest romantic thriller from author Shiloh Walker begins with a scream, literally and doesn’t let up until the end. Set in small town Kentucky, where everyone thinks they know everyone else, Lena Riddle hears a scream echo through the night.

Calls to police are worthless as law enforcement can’t find any evidence of a crime. But Lena knows what she heard.

Her only saving grace is Ezra King, a cop on leave after dealing with his own demons. His cop instinct knows Lena is in danger, his heart’s instinct says she is the woman his soul seeks.

There is mystery surrounding both characters as they deal with their own issues and pasts that come colliding together in this fast paced page turner. The sleepy town seems too “Mayberry” to ever have anything bad happen, but very bad things do and Ezra must unravel the puzzle.

Their hearts fight the attraction they feel for each other and just as they finally start to heal, start to relent to their feelings the killer….well, I won’t spoil for readers.

If you are looking for a fast-paced thriller, laced with romance and tension – this book was written for you!

More about the book:

Julia Mendoza is driven by the success of her business. Since her husband Carlos passed away at such a young age, her business By Design is her number one priority. In her late twenties she works too hard and doesn’t take time out for fun. Annoyance with a pesky ex-friend has her begging one of the local surfer’s with a cheeky smile in the grocery store to pretend he’s her boyfriend. Suddenly, life takes a sudden detour from her business plan; much to the delight of her boisterous Latin American family.

Christophe Augustine is groomed to take over his father’s successful chain of luxurious hotels. With a wealthy French-American background, Chris has been given privileges that not many have. He works hard, plays harder but seeks approval and recognition above all else. Family is a top priority for him as he fights for custody of his young brother. His parent’s divorce has not diminished his faith in romance. When a gorgeous Latino woman changes one boring morning into an interesting game of role play, though reluctant to help at first, he soon realises she’s not like the string of other women he’s known.

A romantic first date ending dramatically doesn’t stop Chris from wanting to know Julia more. And for Julia, she’s all for a bit of fun but when things get too serious she’s running the other way. Too alike, in some ways and complete opposites, in others ways, Julia and Chris fumble through fun moments, annoying confrontations, passionate times and heartbreaking revelations.

Love has no boundaries when soul-mates meet but when one is ready to love and the other one isn’t….

The fun, the entertaining, the outspoken Shiloh Walker joins us at Reader’s Entertainment Radio as we discuss her new romantic suspense Ash Trilogy starting with her upcoming release If You Hear Her.
Here is a little bit about the book:

A CRY IN THE WOODS

The scream Lena Riddle hears in the woods behind her house is enough to curdle her blood—she has no doubt that a woman is in real danger. Unfortunately, with no physical evidence, the local law officers in small-town Ash, Kentucky, dismiss her claim. But Lena knows what she heard—and it leaves her filled with fear and frustration.

Ezra King is on leave from the state police, but he can’t escape the guilty memories that haunt his dreams. When he sees Lena, he is immediately drawn to her. He aches to touch her—to be touched by her—but is he too burdened by his tragic past to get close?

When Ezra hears her story of an unknown woman’s screams, his instincts tell him that Lena’s life is also at risk—and his desire to protect her is as fierce as his need to possess her.

First in a new romantic suspense trilogy
